“If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

The SAVI initiative is conceived, driven and continues to be managed by Canadian veterinarians. It is guided by input from feed mill professionals and producers from across Canada. As a community focused on animal health and welfare, we have an opportunity via the SAVI initiative to initiate a pilot data collection effort focused on antimicrobial use (AMU) within the beef, poultry and swine sectors to gain a detailed current understanding while expanding and improving our knowledge and guidance on AMU for these and other animal sectors including aquaculture, dairy, equine, small ruminants and companion animals.

You can enquire about participating within the data collection pilot if you are a veterinarian within the beef, poultry or swine sectors.

We are a community and everyone who participates makes a difference.

Please send an email to participate@savi.vet to share your thoughts, ask questions, or to let us know how you would like to engage.
